Delete Omnidose Data

Last updated: August 24, 2026

Omnidose has no user accounts and no Omnidose cloud sync. Normal app records are stored locally on your device, so you control their deletion from the app or device.

Back up first

Deletion cannot be undone. Before deleting, strongly consider creating a JSON backup:

·      Open Omnidose Settings.

·      Choose Export JSON.

·      Save the file somewhere you control.

·      Confirm the file was saved before continuing.

JSON is the official full backup and restore format. CSV is for spreadsheet/export use only, not full backup or restore.

Protect the JSON file because it can contain sensitive information.

Delete all local data in Omnidose

To erase the app's local data:

·      Open Omnidose.

·      Open Settings.

·      Choose Delete All Local Data.

·      Review the list of data that will be removed.

·      Export a JSON backup first if you may need the records again.

·      Type DELETE OMNIDOSE exactly, including the space.

·      Select the "I understand" confirmation.

·      Confirm Delete All Local Data.

Omnidose will cancel its local notifications and reminders, erase its local app data, and return to the first-run setup state.

What Delete All Local Data removes

The in-app flow is designed to remove:

·      Substances, categories, doses, dose history, stacks, and groups.

·      Reminder schedules, reminder occurrences, quick alarms, and scheduled local notifications.

·      Side-effect and treatment records.

·      Local profiles and app preferences.

·      The locally stored Gemini API key and AI consent state.

·      Setup completion and legal-acceptance state.

·      All user-created records in the encrypted local database and the previous database encryption key, which is rotated.

·      App caches, temporary exports, crash logs, reports, and other app-generated local files where safe.

Afterward, Omnidose should behave like a new installation and require setup again.

What the in-app flow cannot remove

Delete All Local Data cannot remove data that is outside the current Omnidose app container, including:

·      JSON, CSV, PDF, or other files you saved or shared.

·      Copies in Files, iCloud Drive, email, messaging, another device, or another storage provider.

·      Copies in an older device backup that is controlled by Apple or another backup provider.

·      Information that Google already processed when you chose to use Gemini.

·      Your Gemini API key or project at Google. The app deletes only its local copy of the key.

·      Support emails or attachments you deliberately sent.

Delete those copies through the service or device that holds them. To revoke a Gemini key, use Google AI Studio or the applicable Google Cloud controls.

If you cannot open Omnidose

Use iOS Settings or the Home Screen to choose Delete App for Omnidose. Do not choose Offload App, because offloading is designed to preserve app documents and data for a later reinstall.

Deleting the app removes its current on-device app container. Apple controls whether Keychain items survive an uninstall, so deleting the app alone may not remove a previously stored Gemini key. If you used AI scanning, revoke that key through Google AI Studio or Google Cloud. If you later reinstall Omnidose, use the in-app removal controls to clear any retained secure value.

You must separately remove any exports, shared files, or older backups that you control.

No remote account-deletion request is needed

There is no Omnidose account or Omnidose server record for support to delete. Andrew Allsbury cannot remotely access or erase records stored only on your device.
