Omnidose Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Omnidose handles information. Omnidose is provided by Andrew Allsbury and Neuralis, LLC.
Privacy summary
Omnidose is designed as a local-only app:
· There are no Omnidose user accounts.
· There is no Omnidose cloud sync.
· Medication, supplement, dose, reminder, treatment, side-effect, and profile records are stored locally on your device.
· Omnidose does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, or developer analytics.
· Manual tracking works without sending label data to an AI service.
· Only optional, user-triggered AI label scanning sends selected content off the device for analysis.
Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use the app, local records may include:
· Substance names, brands, ingredients, categories, strengths, units, routes, notes, and custom settings.
· Dose times, quantities, groups, stacks, body sites, mood ratings, and related notes.
· Reminder schedules, notification status, and reminder actions.
· Side effects, symptoms, severity, duration, and resolution information.
· Treatments, providers, locations, body regions, intensity, effectiveness, and notes that you choose to record.
· A local profile name, color, or avatar selected during setup.
· App settings, setup completion, legal acceptance, and AI consent state.
· A Gemini API key if you choose to add one.
· Local crash logs containing technical exception, stack trace, device-platform, and time information.
Omnidose uses an encrypted local database and platform secure storage for sensitive keys. No security method can eliminate every risk, so protect your device with a strong passcode.
No account and no Omnidose server record
Omnidose does not create an account for you and does not upload your normal tracking database to an Omnidose server. Andrew Allsbury cannot view, retrieve, sync, or remotely delete the records stored only in your app.
Local notifications are scheduled through your device's operating system. Omnidose does not use a remote Omnidose notification server for these reminders.
Optional AI label scanning
AI label scanning is optional and requires your consent. It runs only when you choose label images and deliberately start an analysis.
For an AI scan, Omnidose may send the following directly from your device to the Google Gemini API:
· The label images you selected.
· Text and other information visible in those images.
· Instructions needed to ask Gemini to identify label information.
· The Gemini API key you supplied for authentication.
· Technical request information that Google receives when operating its service.
Google returns an analysis to the app. Information you choose to save from that analysis becomes part of your local Omnidose records. Andrew Allsbury does not receive your selected images, API key, or Gemini response through an Omnidose server.
Google's handling can depend on your account, billing tier, region, service settings, and the terms in effect when you scan. Under Google's current published terms, content submitted to some unpaid Gemini services may be used to improve Google products and may be reviewed by people, while paid-service handling differs. Do not scan a label that shows your name, prescription number, address, date of birth, patient identifier, barcode tied to you, or other sensitive or confidential information.

Photos and camera access
Omnidose asks for camera or photo-library access only when needed for a label image you choose to scan. Selecting a photo does not by itself start an AI request. You can deny or change these permissions in iOS Settings and continue using manual tracking.
Exports, reports, and sharing
When you create a JSON backup, CSV export, PDF report, or other shareable file, Omnidose creates that file at your direction. JSON is the official full backup and restore format. CSV is for spreadsheet/export use only, not full backup or restore, and may omit app-specific relationships or settings.
An exported file can contain sensitive information and is no longer controlled by Omnidose after you save, email, upload, or share it. Protect exports and delete copies you no longer need. The privacy practices of Files, iCloud Drive, email, messaging, cloud storage, or another destination apply to copies you send there.
Crash logs
Omnidose can keep short-lived crash logs locally to help diagnose failures. These logs may contain technical error text and application context. Omnidose redacts common credentials and personal fields, but automated redaction may not catch every sensitive detail. Logs are not automatically sent to Andrew Allsbury.
You decide whether to review and share a crash log. Do not share one if it contains information you do not want the recipient to receive. Local crash logs are limited by time and count and can also be cleared in the app or removed through Delete All Local Data.
Support communications
If you email support, Andrew Allsbury and the services used to deliver email will receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Support information is used to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Do not email your Gemini API key or a full Omnidose backup.
Support communications are kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to applicable law and email backup practices.
Data retention and deletion
Local app records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, use Delete All Local Data, or delete the app and its data from the device.
Delete All Local Data is designed to cancel local notifications, transactionally erase all records from the encrypted local database, rotate its previous encryption key, remove user secure values and preferences, clear AI consent and setup state, and clean crash logs, caches, and temporary files where safe. It then returns the app to first-run setup. This action cannot remove a copy you exported or shared, a copy held in an older device backup, or information already processed by Google or another third party.

Because there is no Omnidose account or server database, support cannot perform a remote deletion of data that exists only on your device.
Device backup posture
Omnidose does not provide cloud sync. The iOS launch build is designed to exclude its encrypted local database directory from automatic device cloud backup and to use explicit JSON export as the supported backup path. This exclusion must be validated on the shipping build and does not control files that you deliberately export to iCloud Drive or another destination.
Children
Omnidose is only for people who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and people under 18 may not use it.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect app, legal, or service changes. The updated date will appear at the top. When required, the app will ask you to review updated terms or consent before continuing.
