PEV Ride Computer Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

PEV Ride Computer is provided by Neuralis, LLC. This policy explains how the Android app handles your information. For privacy questions, contact support@neuralisai.com.

Your rides stay under your control

The app stores rides, vehicle setups and preferences on your device. It has no app account, Neuralis ride cloud, advertising or embedded analytics service. Neuralis does not automatically receive your ride history. Information can leave your device when you download maps, enable safety texts, export or share files, open an external service, or contact support, as explained below.

Information used on your device

When you record a ride, the app uses precise location and available phone sensors to save your route, timestamps, speed, distance, elevation and related ride information. It also stores the ride titles and notes you enter, vehicle names and specifications, battery information, trip counters, saved setups, analysis choices and display settings. Optional vehicle specifications include vehicle weight.

Ride recording can continue while another app is visible or the screen is locked. A recording notification shows that the service is running. Location and sensor readings support ride statistics, local analysis and, when enabled, possible-incident detection. Manual SOS may also use a location already available from Android. The app does not continuously track you outside these functions.

If you set up Ride safety, the app stores your chosen rider name, the contact names and phone numbers you enter, your confirmation that they agreed to receive messages, and local incident and message history. It does not request access to your address book, read your SMS inbox or read replies.

Optional safety texts

With your SMS permission and setup choices, your phone sends messages through your mobile carrier to your selected contacts. Adding a contact sends an introduction. A manual SOS or an enabled possible-incident countdown can send a help alert. You can also choose to send an all-clear update.

Messages can include your rider name, vehicle name, alert time, last known coordinates and their age or accuracy, a Google Maps link, and phone battery level. An all-clear uses the original alert location and identifies it as an earlier location. The app retains message content and available send or delivery results locally.

SMS is not end-to-end encrypted. Carriers and recipients handle messages under their own practices. Opening a map link connects the recipient to Google. The app does not send these messages through a Neuralis server. Carrier charges may apply. Removing a contact or deleting app data cannot recall messages already sent.

Optional map downloads

When you check or download a selected offline region, the app connects over HTTPS to Geofabrik at download.geofabrik.de. The provider receives your IP address, the requested region file and ordinary request information, including an app identifier. The app does not attach your recorded route, live coordinates, contacts or ride notes to these requests. Searching the region list happens locally.

Downloaded maps are stored on your device and used for local replay rendering. Map coverage and availability depend on the regions offered. Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors. See Geofabrik's privacy statement and OpenStreetMap attribution and licensing.

Music, exports and backups

You choose music and import files through Android's file picker. Music is processed on your phone for replay videos. The app does not request microphone or camera access for replay creation.

When you save or share a ride, vehicle setup, video or backup, you choose the destination or receiving app. Those files may reveal routes, locations, names, notes or other included information. A full app backup includes routes, ride data, vehicle and setup history, settings, safety contacts and safety message history. Backup ZIP files are not password protected by the app. Store and share them carefully.

Choosing a cloud drive, messaging app, Google Earth or another provider makes that provider's terms and privacy practices relevant. Neuralis cannot control copies held by those services or by other people. The app disables standard Android cloud backup. Device-to-device transfer behavior can vary by Android version and phone manufacturer. Backups you create with Backup & restore are initiated by you.

Purchases and support

Google Play handles app purchases and payment details under its own policies. The app does not ask for payment-card details.

If you email support, Neuralis receives your email address and whatever you include. Send only the information needed to explain the problem. You do not need to send a complete ride or backup for an initial support request. We use support correspondence to respond, investigate the issue and meet applicable obligations; we retain it only as needed for those purposes.

Retention, deletion and security

Saved rides, vehicle setups and settings remain until you remove them, replace them through a restore, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Temporary files and some older incident entries may be cleared during normal use. Removing a vehicle from Garage preserves the historical vehicle information attached to saved rides. Removing a safety contact does not erase earlier message records. Restoring a backup leaves a recovery copy of the previous app data on the phone.

Android's app storage protections help restrict access by other apps. There is no separate app password or app-level encryption for exported backups. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

See Data and deletion for practical removal steps and support-data requests. Neuralis cannot remotely delete information that exists only on your device, with your carrier or with recipients. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You can contact us about access, correction or deletion of personal information you provided to support; applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes to sensitive-data use will be explained in the app when appropriate.
